Clark University Global Scholars Programme for International Students 2017/2018
If you are an international high school student, you could be eligible for scholarships to help pay for the cost of your undergraduate education at Clark University. Scholarships are offered by Clark and many other organizations. Your eligibility for scholarships depends on your academic accomplishments, in addition to other factors.
be a first-year applicant (not a transfer student) who has attended school overseas for at least four years. Clark also will consider international citizens attending school in the United States.
also have demonstrated the potential to provide leadership in your community and the world and to commit to making a difference.
maintain an annual GPA of at least a 3.0.  Failure to do so may result in a decrease or loss of Global Scholar scholarship.

Commonwealth Scholarships for Master�s and PhD study � developing Commonwealth country citizens
Commonwealth Scholarships for Master�s and PhD study in the UK are offered for citizens of developing Commonwealth countries. These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), with the aim of contributing to the UK�s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.
Eligibility
To apply for these scholarships, you must:
Be a Commonwealth citizen, refugee, or British protected person
Be permanently resident in a developing Commonwealth country
Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2017
By October 2017, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master�s degree)

All applications must be submitted by 23.59 (GMT) on 15 November 2016 at the latest.

CHEVENING IN NIGERIA
Chevening Scholarships are awarded to outstanding emerging leaders to pursue a one-year master�s at any UK university. The scholarship programme provides a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.

To be eligible for a Chevening Award you must:
Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country
Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended
Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK.
Have at least two years� work experience (this may be up to five years for fellowship programmes, please refer to your country page for further details)
Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 13 July 2017

International Poetry Competition
The Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre is delighted to launch its 2016 International Poetry Competition to celebrate the power of poetry across the world!

There are two stages to entering the competition:
1) Please visit the Brookes Shop and click on 'Book Event'. Then you can register as a new customer and pay for your entry/entries.
2) Once you have paid, please e-mail your poems as separate attachments topoetrycomp@brookes.ac.uk  You will receive an automatic e-mail in response, confirming that we have received your poem/s.

Global Citizen Youth Advocates Symposium 2016.
Global Citizen is gathering young activists from around the globe with diverse campaigning and advocacy backgrounds, the symposium will allow for an engaging exchange of experience, strategies and practices geared towards addressing pressing global issues, as outlined by the United Nations� Global Goals.

Applicants are evaluated based on:
1. Experience campaigning on issues in their local community related to one or more of the following Global Goals.
Food & Hunger
Health
Education
Girls & Women
Sanitation & Water
2. A clear idea of how their participation in this training will go beyond them and benefit the communities they work with.
3. An understanding of the values and practices of global citizenship.

Getty Scholar Grants
Getty Scholar Grants are for established scholars, or writers who have attained distinction in their fields. Recipients are in residence at the Getty Research Institute or Getty Villa, where they pursue their own projects free from academic obligations, make use of Getty collections, join their colleagues in a weekly meeting devoted to an annual research theme, and participate in the intellectual life of the Getty.
Eligibility
Applications are welcome from researchers of all nationalities who are working in the arts, humanities, or social sciences.

The Ockenden Prizes
Ockenden International has launched its fifth annual prize for projects and programmes that excel in developing independence for refugees and internally displaced people � anywhere in the world. Submissions for the Prize must be from recognized and registered charities, which can also elect to nominate a project by a registered partner or affiliate organisation. There are no geographical limits on the locations of the projects but the judges will be looking for work started no earlier than June 1, 2013, and for evidence of properly measured and evaluated outcomes.

Deadline for entries is midnight (GMT) on Wednesday 31 August, with the three finalists to be announced in October.

The Nestle Nutrition Research Training Fellowship for Health Professionals (Funded) 
The Nestle Nutrition Institute offers grants for research skills trainings which can help in performing research in the fields of mother and child health and nutrition. We offer these fellowship grants to health professionals from anywhere in the world* applying for post-graduate research training. The duration of the training can last up to 12 months. All institutions offering a training programme in the area of Maternal and/or Child Health and Nutrition are eligible to be a host institution.
To attend a training program on research skills and knowledge.
Such program could include, but is not limited to: learning a specific laboratory technique, statistics, nutrition, etc. The NNI grant up to 40�000 CHF can be used to pay course registration fees, round trip travel to the host institution, lodging and living expenses and health insurance coverage for the duration of the course. The amount of 40�000 CHF applies for the longer length projects (12 months). A proportion of this amount will be paid to shorter duration projects. The NNI grant will be given to the Host Institution which will disburse it to the fellow. In no case will any money be given directly from the NNI to the fellow.
