TEENZ GLOBAL FOUNDATION SETS TO ESTABLISH ITS FIRST OPEN COMMUNITY SCHOOL IN NIGERIA

U.S Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. W. Stuart Symington and TGF Founder, Ijeoma Sorochi-Okorie

The Teenz Global Foundation in collaboration with the United States Mission in Nigeria through the Ambassadors Small Grants Program sets to build TGFs 1st Open Community School for 200 vulnerable children in Nigeria.

The Open Community School is a community development project that aims to address the challenge of access to education among vulnerable children in Nigeria. This project will be located at Edda, Afikpo South LGA, Ebonyi State. It focuses on improving learning outcomes for children between ages 5-15 eligible for primary education using creative teaching method and technology.

The school will educate, engage and equip children with knowledge and skills to meet the 21st century needs, reduce the rate of out of school children, provide an affordable and accessible primary school, promote gender equality and enhance their learning experience using new technological approach towards primary education.

The Ambassadors Small Grant is a contribution to the building of the classrooms, hence the need for more partners to support in areas of donation of learning materials such as books, school desks, boards, computers systems, IPADs, office furniture and recreational equipment.
